The big day finally arrived! After literally months of working on business plans, from research to writing to creating samples, to show their business was more than just an idea, it was Loan Request Day. Taking advice from the “Experts” on Workshop Day and the Bankers from Banker Day, it was time to make the “ask” for approval and loans from advisory board members. Bill Ecker, Ryan Carter, and Darren Bailey, who know what CEO students can do and who will hold them to the standard of “Exceeding Expectations”, listened to their “pitches” and were well pleased with what they heard and saw. Below, see the samples of these businesses: Modest and Modern Fashions– skirts made from jeans, Southern Soul Soap Company–soap made with local goats’ milk, Bathtime Blitz–nicely scented bath bombs and sugar scrubs, and Tech Fusion, website design and in-home repair and support services. More on the others soon.
Mark April 25 on your calendar. You will want to be at the Regional Trade Show to see them and other CEO team members from Southern Illinois at the Dunn Richmond Center at SIU, 4:30-6:30. More details to come.
